The KulturCafé wants to help women with experience of escape to gradually build trust in the new place of life and
to achieve a new autonomy in some areas of life. Over coffee, tea and treats, the KulturCafé offers space for making
music, reading aloud, playing, crafting, painting or telling stories.
Our refugee aid partners invite women and children to participate through their network and provide space. Our team
is responsible for the program and organizes artists who perform in the KulturCafé or organize workshops (crafting, sewing,
making music, dancing, etc.). The festivals and customs of different cultures and religions are also discussed and celebrated
in the KulturCafé (Advent, Christmas, Hanukkah, Carnival, Ramadan, Sugar Festival, etc.)
The KulturCafé is aimed at women with and without flight experience. Refugees find a sheltered space with their children
in the KulturCafé, in which they can develop undisturbed. Women without any escape experience are also welcome.
The KulturCafé is designed as an open event and invites all women to exchange and get to know each other. In a relaxed
atmosphere, the KulturCafé visitors can discover common interests and register as guests of KulturLeben Berlin.
