The State Museums in Berlin with their institutions that have grown over generations a universal

After the State Museums of Berlin on March 14, 2020 all houses for the time being until further

The Bode Museum online: virtual tour and more

The State Museums of Berlin at Google Arts & Culture

The State Museums have been presenting themselves on Google Arts & Culture since 2011.
The cooperation has been gradually expanded in recent years, so that a total of 10 houses, around
5,000 objects, 40 exhibitions, 37 short stories, 5 virtual reality tours, 6 expeditions, 8 gigapixels
and street views of all houses with permanent exhibitions on the online platform are represented.
The State Museums see their expanded presence at Google Arts & Culture as a contribution to
worldwide communication about the wealth of art and culture and as an invitation to be amazed
by the fascinating artifacts and objects.

Pergamon 3D

The Pergamon Museum has been part of the Museum Island master plan since 2013 refurbished
in sections. The hall with the famous Pergamon Altar, the centerpiece of the house, has therefore
been closed since autumn 2014. Fortunately have the collection of antiquities of the State Museums
in Berlin and the Fraunhofer Institute for Graphic data processing in September 2014 a complex
3D scan of the more made as a 2,000 year old masterpiece of Hellenistic art. From this scan emerged
a complete and detailed 3D model of the altar that is freely accessible online.
